LEBO Print now available on this site

In January, 2004, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, the Disco Biscuits - Jeremy's favorite band - graciously put on two benefit shows for the Skylar Wainland fund. Artist David LeBatard also helped the cause; he felt inspired to paint as the music took place and his delightful painting was sold to a lucky fan and the proceeds went to the fund as well.

It is with much joy that I announce that prints of the original "LEBO" poster can now be purchased through this website.

The poster is $18 USD and can be ordered by using Paypal. You can also order by emailing us directly. This covers shipping costs. The proceeds will go to Skylar's fund.

We Miss You Jeremy

Happy Birthday Jeremy

Dear Jeremy,

Today, on your 31st birthday, I first and foremost want you to know that not anyone has forgotten the joy that was your life, and that in your absense, we (and I mean a collective we including but not limited to your parents, Kira, your beautiful baby girl Skylar, your friends, your favorite band, and anyone else who was honored to come in contact with you throughout your life) have done what we can to pick up the pieces after you left us as best we could...we've made friends with one another in effort to help us through such a painful, troubling hardship... and we've been able to keep getting through it; I know I have, mostly because I've been able to think of you smiling somewhere. It's that smile that keeps me going.

Jeremy, most people do not realize the kind of friendship we really have. I'm sure a lot of our mutual friends certainly remember a period of time where we'd bicker again and again, while others would remember us running around that hotel in Deer Creek, hiding from the world, sneaking one or two moments just to be ourselves and make fun of said world we were running from. I don't know exactly what the first thing I think of you is upon reminiscing about your life... it was probably many, many things at once, swirled carefully in my head. The way you always had to be right. The socks. The many fitness chats we'd have over some chocolate. The time you ate more sushi than anyone else in the entire place, saying that it was okay, citing some health reason that you convinced every other diner was true.

You were always one to show your true feelings. You were never afraid to admit you were scared when you found out you were having Skylar. You were never afraid to tell your parents when you didn't get a specific job done right. All that considered, you were never afraid to just be yourself, and even if that self meant an erratically-tempered man running around the streets of New York City with your cold allergy searching for your next endeavor with the biggest grin on your face, knowing that success would always be a part of you, no matter what.

I remember the joke we had, the one we'd pretty much worn out as years went by, but to us, it was hilarious, almost the basis of our friendship in the first place. You would always say to me, during an argument or otherwise, "yes, but I'm older. I'll always be older." And at the time, that single line would settle any argument we'd been having. The night before your 30th birthday, you called me to let me know that now you were *really* older, so that for your birthday present, you wanted to let me know that you have officially won.

The ultimate irony being, of course, that you'll always really be 30, though I'll celebrate every single March 1 for the rest of my life and count how old you would have been every time just so you can *always* get the last laugh, as you would have wanted anyway.

I know you know that I love you, but I really, truly do. I hope that somewhere you are smiling and remembering our friendship as beautifully as I am.

Happy birthday, man.

I really miss you.

love,
ericalynn.

A message from Jamie Wainland

Dear Bisco Fans,

This site has supported and helped me thru the worst nightmare a parent can ever dream of. As you know In one week the Disco Biscuits are coming to Ft Lauderdale to honor JEREMY by having a benefit concert for him.

I want to take this opportunity to thank Ericalynn for her continual caring by helping put JEREMY’S website together and keeping it going. One of the hi-lights of this event will be meeting Ericalynn for the first time. I feel like she has become an off shoot of our family. Attached you will also see a second reason that keeps my husband and myself going.

Looking forward to meeting some of you next week. Please introduce yourselves to us, each and everyone of you are considered important to us.

Until next week,

Jamie Wainland

Jeremy's Benefit Shows

I can't believe that Jeremy's benefit shows in Florida are only a week away. In case you missed it, the benefit shows will be on January 16 and 17 at the Culture Room in Ft. Lauderdale. If you would like more information about the shows, or if you would like to make a donation in your absense, please visit the website dedicated to the awareness of the benefits over on Phantasy Tour.

On a personal note, Friday will mark the day that I finally have the honor of meeting Jeremy's parents. I am truly blessed with such a gift.

See you all in Florida!
-e.

Benefit Shows!

As reported today on www.discobiscuits.com, there will be two benefit shows in memory of Jeremy and for his family on Friday, January 16 and Saturday, January 17 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

From the site:

Jeremy Wainland was the definition of a Disco Biscuits fan. After a show, Jeremy could be found in some hotel room, arguing until dawn about how tonight's version of a particular song either blew away or couldn't hold a candle to a far superior version the band had played somewhere in the middle of the country two years ago. But that's what made Jeremy the person he was. He was always outspoken, and never afraid to voice his opinion anytime anywhere.

Unfortunately Jeremy was taken from us far too soon, leaving behind his fiancée and their brand new baby girl Skylar. The Disco Biscuits community truly lost a special member on July 6th, 2003, and being the family that we are, we want to pay tribute to all those nights Jeremy was out in the audience, cheering us on, smiling immensely when we did get it perfect. On Friday and Saturday January 16th and 17th, we'll pay tribute to Jeremy with 2 benefit concerts in his honor at his hometown venue, Ft. Lauderdale's Culture Room.

This will be an intimate gathering of family and friends, and we hope you'll join us there for what stands to be an epic weekend. All profits from the shows will go directly to Skylar and Kira. Tickets will be available on BiscoTix on Wednesday. For those coming from out of town, please visit South Florida Jams in the next few days for more information.

Please stay tuned to the site, as I will post flight information and tips for those out of town who need to be at the shows, as well as a way to donate to the Wainlands if you cannot attend the shows.

This is a very wonderful event and many, many thanks go to the Disco Biscuits organization and Ethan Schwartz of South Florida Jams for putting this all together and making it happen.

With love,
ericalynn.

Marlins

why doesn't it surprise me that the Marlins came back from a series defecit to win their way to the World Series?

obviously, Jeremy had some hand in this, being the big Marlins fan that he is.

I'm not a Marlins fan myself, but I can't help but smile when I think about Jeremy laughing at the Cubs fan who caught the ball the other night. You know he was laughing!

And that makes me smile.

welcome

Welcome to Jeremyland.Net.

Please bear with me in the beginning stages of this site; I am doing my best to quickly compile all I can for it, but sometimes preparation takes more time than I'd want it to. Jeremy was certainly an impatient guy, so I can see him getting all upset that it's taking so long, but I promise it will be worth the wait.

With that, if there is anything you would like to submit to the site, whether it be a story, a picture, or anything else you wish, just email me.

Thanks for visiting.
